Hi! My name is Brigitta and I am an Hispanic American from Northern Virginia, a Dance/Movement Therapist and a Children’s Yoga Teacher – I live in Ashburn, Virginia.
Brigitta Elsa White, MS, R-DMT, RYT-200 received her Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy from The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York in 2007. She is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist with The American Dance Therapy Association. She received both her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from George Mason University School of Dance and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 2005. She is certified in Children’s Yoga from Radiant Child Yoga since 2010. In 2022, she obtained her adult yoga teacher training through the Awakened Spaces Scholarship at Beloved Yoga in Reston, VA.

Provide in-school yoga classes for students grade K-8th focusing on the use of yoga and movement sequences, breathing exercises and deep relaxation techniques to support self-regulation, social-emotional learning, executive function and mindfulness in a loving and attuned manner.
Expressive Arts Therapist at Dominion Hospital
(2018)
As a PRN Dance/Movement Therapist, provided in-patient psychiatry and in-patient specialized eating disorders group therapy to children, adolescents and adults in acute hospitalized psychiatric care. Provide dance/movement therapy groups to adolescents in day treatment and outpatient support groups.
Dance/Movement Therapist at Children’s National Medical Center
(2009 – 2010)
Pioneered the first dance/movement therapy intervention sessions on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Provided group dance/movement therapy sessions to patients in the the Child In-Patient Psychiatry Unit and Radiology Waiting Rooms. Provided 1:1 bedside medical dance/movement therapy sessions to hospitalized children in Oncology/Hematology, Neuro/Ortho, and other medically ill children. Provide dance/movement events with community partners for hospital special events.
